Resting in God's Wisdom: A Retreat for Changing Times
March 27-30th, 2025, 2:00 pm ET-2:00 pm ET at Monastery Immaculate Conception, Ferdinand, IN
Life is full of change. We're all in the midst of global change. Maybe you are experiencing personal change, too--a divorce, illness, parenting toddlers or teenagers, adjusting to an "empty nest," a job change, perimenopause, family or work conflict, death of a loved one, becoming a grandparent, retirement...what brings change is endless. Sometimes the loneliness is overwhelming, the burden too heavy. Jesus knew something about social and personal change and challenges. He also knew something about carrying burdens and how they are lighter when not carried alone.
Enter his invitation found in Matthew 11:28-30:
“Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.”
The world needs people who live freely and lightly.
Our time will include an introduction to being on a silent retreat along with receiving the still relevant 16th century wisdom of St. John of the Cross on navigating "Dark Night." Allow the unknown to be a place where you can rest in the loving presence of the God who is beyond all knowing.
$525 (Private bed & bath + 9 meals & two 30-minute sessions of spiritual direction). Limited scholarships available.
7 spaces available.
Go or gift someone with the gift of renewing and empowering Silence. Register here.
