A Silent Retreat with Wisdom Tree Collective
October 19-22, 2023
Journey into Silence with Thomas Merton
"My Lord God, I have no idea where I am going..." -Thomas Merton
Sometimes having no idea where you are going is exactly where you need to be!
Silence and solitude allow space to rest your body, mind, and soul then open your eyes and see…
Enjoy the beautiful grounds and the hospitality of the Sisters of Saint Benedict (which includes good food!). Explore the sunken garden, walk the labyrinth, watch the turtles in the lake from the wrought iron swing or the clouds drift by from a rocking chair. Take a nap or a hike, sit under an ancient tree or try a new way of prayer. Let the words of 20th c. theologian, scholar, activist, mystic, and Trappist monk Thomas Merton companion you. Discover how the Sacred Presence is speaking when you pause your busyness and listen.
A simple candlelight service will walk us into the Silence after dinner on Thursday.
Facilitator: Kasey Hitt, M.Div., spiritual director, co-founder of and instructor for Wisdom Tree Collective
Time: 2pm on October 19th - 2pm (Central Time) on October 22nd
