Sometimes it helps to have someone who is familiar with the various stages and seasons of the spiritual life, to look at and listen to our own life alongside us. For within our own lives, the Beloved is speaking, guiding and loving us right where we are in whatever circumstances we find ourselves.
Christian spiritual direction has been practiced for centuries. The Old Testament speaks of Samuel and Eli discerning God’s voice in the night (I Samuel 3:3) and the New Testament gives us examples with Jesus and the disciples and Paul and Timothy.
In spiritual direction, people purposely practice the discipline of “attentiveness.” We create space through silence and other contemplative practices so we may hear God’s invitations and discover God’s presence within our lives. Kasey also utilizes parts work (IFS), dreamwork and breathwork when needed and desired.

A Taste of Spiritual Direction
Many of us are used to prayer being a one-sided conversation. How does one even listen to the Spirit of God? In this prayer exercise, you're invited to engage your imagination in learning how to listen.
All of us are engaged in some form of spiritual direction.
We are all going somewhere, but who or what is directing us is an open question.
